Bristol City will look to reach new heights after partnering with their first-ever airline, flybmi.
The club and flybmi have signed a one-year deal enabling the players to fly across the UK in style for their 2018/19 fixtures, aboard flybmi’s all-jet fleet. Meanwhile the airline will enjoy prominent advertising within the club grounds and across their social channels.
Both partners enjoy a synergy thanks to the airline’s Bristol hub, where it offers flights from the award-winning Bristol Airport directly to nine European and UK destinations including Aberdeen, Brussels, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Munich, Dusseldorf, Milan and Paris.
flybmi delivers a professional, quality service which travellers from the south-west have enjoyed using for both business and leisure travel. Bristol City also enjoys a position as a well-regarded business and major part of the community in the region as it maintains a profile as a leading football club in the Championship, with an ambition to succeed even further.
Caroline Herbert, group head of commercial at Bristol Sport, said: “It is wonderful to see Bristol City partner with a fantastic airline in flybmi.
“City players will travel in relaxed and comfortable environments thanks to flybmi, and this can only help them as they prepare for their respective away matches.
“I am also delighted the club’s fans will also be able make use of the airline, which connects our part of the world to some incredible places across Europe.”
Antony Price, director marketing & customer for flybmi said: “We’re delighted to support Bristol City Football Club. The city is our biggest hub in the UK serving destinations across Europe and this partnership allows us to benefit the club and its fans who will all be able to enjoy our highly rated service, routes and great value fares.
“We look forward to flying the players in comfort and style as they take on fixtures throughout the UK and raise the profile of the south-west.”
This new partnership cements bmi’s on-going commitment to serving customers in the south-west. In recent years bmi has expanded operations from the airport to offer more routes and greater rotations on exciting routes out of Bristol.
All flybmi fares include 23kg of hold luggage, allocated seating, complimentary in-flight drinks and snacks and speedy 30 minute check-ins.
