Aaron Pierre is poised to feature for City at Guernsey FC tomorrow after spending the last week on trial on at Failand.
The 24-year-old defender is out of contract after his deal at Wycombe Wanderers expired this summer.
Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth recently labelled Pierre “one of the best defenders in League Two” but an “improved” contract offer from the Adams Park club remains unsigned.
Pierre has made 149 appearances for Wycombe since joining the club from Brentford in 2014, initially on loan before turning the move permanent.
Southall-born Pierre started his football life at Fulham before moving across West London to Brentford’s youth setup.
The defender qualifies to play international football for Grenada through his parents and has been capped four times. He scored his first goal for his country against Bermuda last month.
Siva Naulago's stunning second against Worcester Warriors has been shortlisted for The Famous Grouse Gallagher Premiership Try of the Week for round 12.
