'City focused and grounded' - Hunt

Jack Hunt is keeping a level head as City go in search of extending their unbeaten run at West Brom.

The Robins travel to the Hawthorns tonight (September 18th, 8pm) where Lee Johnson's side could record their fifth-consecutive win.

But Hunt, one of City's summer signings, says the task at hand is not an easy one.

"In this league you have to win games and it buys you a bit of time, but we’re a new team with new faces," he told bcfc.co.uk.

"We have to keep improving. It’s a long season - we’re on a hot streak at the moment but we know we could have those dips. Hopefully our bad days won’t be really, really bad and we’ll just keep going – we’re not getting ahead of ourselves!

"Everybody is focused on the game ahead, we take it one game at a time. We’ve done our homework on West Brom and we feel that if we’re on top of our game then we can cause them problems.

"When you go through their (WBA) team, there is quality in abundance in every position. They are looking to go back to the Premier League where they have been for a long time. We have to be on top of our game as we know they can cause us problems if we’re not at it."

But right-back Hunt says City will be boosted by their travelling fans at tonight's fixture, with more than 1,500 supporters set to join the player at the Hawthorns. Fans who have not yet secured a ticket, can pay on the night.

He said: "When you can hear the fans away, you know you’re going to get that support at home, but away from home they give us that extra boost because when you’re under the cosh, the fans can really push us on."

He added: "I’m really enjoying my time and my football, I’ve settled in well and it is nice to play every game. That was my aim in coming here so long may that continue."
