Bristol City met Aston Villa this afternoon (Wednesday, August 26th) in a behind closed doors friendly.
The latest fixture in the pre-season calendar saw the sides compete in two 60-minute games.
Nathan Baker and Tomáš Kalas went close to opening the scores from Niclas Eliasson’s corners, but it was Jamie Paterson who netted the decisive goal in the opening game.
With two new-look teams in the second match, it proved equally as close.
Zak Vyner was denied by the crossbar, before Max O’Leary produced two notable saves. However it was the Premier League outfit who found the breakthrough with a close range finish, as they held on to secure a narrow win in the second 60 minutes.
The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
