City could face Premier League opposition in the second round of the Carabao Cup when the draw is made live on Sky Sports tonight.
Lee Johnson’s side romped to a 5-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Ashton Gate on Tuesday to book their place in round two.
Wins for Aston Villa and Leeds United last night means City drop into the ‘unseeded’ section of the draw.
The regionalised nature of the draw means City only have 12 possible opponents: AFC Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Norwich City, Reading, Southampton, Swansea City, Watford and West Ham United.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur will all enter at the third round stage.
The draw will follow the conclusion of tonight’s televised tie between Bury and Sunderland at Gigg Lane.
