Chiavetta departs Bristol City Women

First Team Assistant Manager and Youth Technical Director Marco Chiavetta has stepped down from his role at Bristol City Women, the club can confirm.

Chiavetta joined the City backroom staff in the autumn of 2018 and has spent the last three seasons as Assistant to Tanya Oxtoby and then Matt Beard over the last six months of the 2020/21 campaign.

The 33-year-old also combined his First Team responsibilities with being Youth Technical Director, overseeing the successful talent pathway which connects the club’s Regional Talent Centre programme to the Academy and then the First Team.

Head of Women’s Football Lee Billiard said: “We would like to thank Marco for all his hard work and contributions to our club over the last three seasons, not only with the First Team but also in managing the talent pathway in place at the club.

“Everyone at Bristol City Women wishes Marco the best of luck in his next challenge.”
