The Cheltenham Festival begins in wet conditions today – so it’s going to make things difficult for punters!
Fortunately our resident tipster Phil Pocketts is back and ready to assist fans looking to have a flutter this week.
The going at Cheltenham will be unusually soft, so the first tip is to look for horses who stay and have form in heavy conditions.
Irish horses are used to testing going and, with Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott likely to contest the title of top trainer at the Festival, both will have plenty of leading fancies in tip top fettle.
Tipster Pocketts expects them to dominate Day One.
Remember, betting through Sky Bet provides supporters the insurance of money back as a free bet if your horse loses in the first race.
