Adam Webster is aiming to keep City in a strong position on return from the international break.
City now have an 18-day break, before travelling to Sheffield United at the end of the month.
The City number four says the time between now and then will be focused on recovery, improving and working hard to cement a positive final run-in.
“We’ve put ourselves in a great position,” he said. If you’d have said with ten games to go that we’d be sixth, we’d have taken it at the start of the season. There’s a long way to go still and hopefully we can nail down that spot.
“When we come back it’s a really hectic schedule. We will have to dust ourselves down, recharge batteries for the last push and hopefully achieve something.”
The defender was on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw against his former club Ipswich Town on Tuesday night.
Reflecting on the match, Webster said: “It was a difficult evening. The tough conditions out there didn’t help but hopefully, come the ends of the season, this will be a point gained for us.
“I think it was a fair result, to be honest. Neither team edged it in terms of chances. It’s frustrating not to take all three points but there’s a break now, a chance to recharge batteries, work on a few things and go again when we come back.”
