The annual Robins Foundation Day will take place tomorrow, Saturday, March 19th when Bristol City take on West Bromwich Albion at Ashton Gate Stadium
And, as the Foundation celebrates two decades at the heart of the community day in, day out, the match is an important opportunity to raise funds to improve lives and inspire our community.
💬 The Foundation have launched its strategy for 2022-25 and Robins Foundation CEO Dan White said: "This year’s annual Foundation matchday against West Bromwich Albion is an important milestone for the Foundation as we look to the future and we launch our new 2022-2025 strategy.
"The strategy sets an ambitious direction that aims to bring the club and community even closer together, by growing together, improving lives, and inspiring the community. It’s important to recognise the contribution that others have had over the last 20 years to bring the Foundation to where it is today.
"I would like to thank everyone who has supported the charity over the last 20 years, from shareholders who donate their share buy out to us, our funders including the EFL Trust and Premier League Charitable Fund, and most importantly the club, who support us by giving us the platform to impact on the lives of people in our community.
"Leading up to the West Bromwich Albion game you will have seen a number of case studies, which help to demonstrate the impact the Foundation can have on individuals’ lives. None of this would be possible without the hard work of the staff at the Foundation who making a difference to people's lives every day."
💬 Bristol City Manager Nigel Pearson said: "The Robins Foundation contribution to the community is massive. I see the staff from the Robins Foundation at the HPC and they are always welcome here and they feel very much a part of the club as they should do.
"The work they do in the community is very important for the community but is very important for the football club. What I really like is how seriously the players take it too. I think all in all its got authenticity which is something that we should be proud of but also it's important for the sporting institutions like ourselves that we do take it very seriously.
"We are proud to dedicate this game to the Foundation and recognise the very important work that they have done in the community especially in the last two years during the pandemic."
