Willie Kirk has added Goalkeeper Caitlin Leach to his squad ahead of the start of the 2016 season.
19-year-old Caitlin joins the Vixens following the expiration of her contract at Aston Villa Ladies FC, where she had progressed through the Centre of Excellence and Development Team and into the First Team squad.
The youngster has an impressive international career to-date. Leach was named in UEFA’s squad of the tournament following her outstanding performances in the U19s Euros, and she selected in Mo Marley’s England squad in the U20s World Cup.
Manager Willie Kirk is delighted with his new signing, commenting: "Caitlin is a fantastic addition to the squad. She has really enhanced her reputation over the past 12 months, with the potential to go all the way to the top.
“Her performances for England in last year's U19s Euros were top drawer and being named in the UEFA Team of the Tournament was a fantastic accolade to receive.
“She will give great competition for the no1 spot, meaning our goalkeepers will all push each other really hard, which is only a good thing for their individual and collective development.”
Kirk also added: “We have had to recruit players on the premise that Mary Earps and Angharad James won't be at the club next year and my last two signings reflect this.
“Both of their futures are still uncertain, although I am expecting them to move on and remain with WSL1 clubs."
