The Great British Fudge Bus provides its support to the local community as it becomes the latest member of the Robins Foundation’s Shared Duty Members Club.
Based in Podium Space in Bristol’s Cabot Circus, the Great British Fudge Bus, provides a vast range of delicious fudge as well as a selection of old-fashioned sweets all served from a beautifully converted double decker bus.
The Fudge Bus has not only generously offered to sponsor some of the Foundation’s work in the local community, but has also donated over £300 worth of goodies to be delivered to the vulnerable young people whom the Foundation work with.
Bristol born and bred owner of the Fudge Bus, John Lock, has close ties with Bristol City Football Club having spent over ten years playing in the club’s academy setup.
The former Academy defender told the Foundation: “Being someone who grew up in South Bristol, I witnessed first-hand many of the challenges which young people face. A lot of my friends came from families who faced financial problems and often struggled to afford to eat properly.
“When I heard about all of the brilliant work that the Robins Foundation were doing to ensure that young people are provided for, I was keen to be a part of it and I’m only too happy to support the community that I grew up in.”
Lock added: “I hope that these treats help put a smile on the young people’s faces.”
Bristol City Robins Foundation Projects and Partnerships Manager, James Edwards, commented: “We are really pleased to welcome the Great British Fudge Bus to our Shared Duty Club.
“We believe that all individuals and businesses can have a positive impact on our community, and we are extremely proud of all our current Shared Duty Partners.”
