Marlon Pack is hoping to reward the bumper travelling support at Birmingham City tomorrow (3pm).
All 2,600 tickets in the away end have sold out for the short trip to St Andrew’s, and Pack is looking forward to seeing the mass ranks of red and white in the Midlands.
“It’s always good to have a big away following behind you up and down the country,” the midfielder told Bristol City Player HD.
“We appreciate everything they go through. The fans certainly helped us last year; they’re always in good voice.
“I actually remember last year at Coventry City we absolutely packed out the away end and I managed to get my first City goal. It would be nice to get my first Championship goal on Saturday, but I’d sooner take the three points.
“Our fans have done their bit by selling out the away end tomorrow and now it’s up to us to get the result on the day to give them something to cheer about.”
Tomorrow’s opponents Birmingham went unbeaten throughout August and Pack believes they will be a tough nut to crack.
“Since [Gary Rowett] has gone in there they’ve played in a certain way and it’s been good for them. They’re organised and resolute,” Pack added.
“I played against his side at Burton, where they got some decent results – so he’s been successful everywhere he has been so far.
“Every away game is tough in this league. We’ll do as much work as we can to try and get the result we want.”
