Bryan doubtful for Birmingham trip

Joe Bryan is a doubt for City’s trip to Birmingham City on Saturday (3pm) with an ankle knock.

The left-back starred in the opening day win over Barnsley, but is not certain to be fit for City’s first away game of the new season.

Elsewhere, head coach Lee Johnson is waiting on international clearance for Swedish winger Niclas Eliasson, who joined the club on Tuesday.

“We need international clearance, which is dependent on the speed of the offices in the other nations and the Swedish FA,” Johnson told BCTV.

“Joe Bryan has got a little whack on the top of his ankle, so we’ll have to see. I would probably rate him 60/40 in favour.”

Strikers Milan Djuric and Matty Taylor (both groin) remain sidelined.
