Frankie Brown pens new deal with the Vixens ahead of Spring Series.
Twenty-nine year-old Brown joined, the then named, Bristol Academy from Hibernian Ladies having spent eight years with the club.
A Scottish international, with more than 70 caps, made her first start in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2009 play-off match against Russia at Tynecastle.
Brown also has experience in the UEFA Champion’s League with five appearances for her previous club Hibernian.
The defender has made 42 appearances for the club since the WSL began in 2011.
“Frankie had a tough season with an ankle injury last year, which curtailed her involvement for long periods,” said head coach Willie Kirk.
“But she still managed to play a big part on and off the pitch in achieving promotion.
“She has many caps for Scotland and that experience will be invaluable for us in our return to WSL1.”
Now in WSL1, Bristol City Women will open their campaign against Reading at Ashton Gate on Saturday, April 22nd (KO 6pm) before taking on Arsenal, Chelsea and current league Champions Man City at the Stoke Gifford Stadium.
The Vixens will also come up against former teammates when they face Liverpool at home, with Sophie Ingle, Tash Harding and Caroline Weir now playing for the opposition.
Tickets will be available for all games online via Tickets.Bristol-Sport.co.uk shortly with season cards also on sale in the next few weeks.
