A number of City Women players have been busy on international duty..
Holland – Algarve Cup
City Women defender Danique Kerkdijk has enjoyed a successful trip to Portugal, with Holland finishing first in the tournament after securing two wins and a draw. In an unexpected turn of events, both Holland AND Sweden were crowned champions Algarve Cup winners on Thursday, after poor weather conditions forced their cup final match to be abandoned.
Scotland – WA International Challenge
Vixens duo Chloe Arthur and Frankie Brown returned to Bristol on Tuesday having helped Scotland secure two consecutive WA International Challenge match victories against New Zealand this week.
Both matches resulted in 2-0 victories for the Scots, who will now face Switzerland on Thursday, April 5th in a World Cup qualifier.
England U19’s – La Manga
Lauren Hemp and Flo Allen helped ensure the Lionesses were undefeated at this year’s La Manga tournament, with striker Hemp scoring two goals in three matches. Defender Allen skippered the side during twice during their time in Spain.
Wales – Cyprus Cup
City Women trio Lauren Dykes, Charlie Estcourt and Kylie Nolan will return to the West Country today, after competing in the Cyprus Cup with Wales. Wales came away with one win, two draws and a loss from the tournament.
All three Vixens played vital roles during the tournament and return to Bristol ahead of an important block of games.
Belgium – Cyprus Cup
Vixens striker Yana Daniels returns from international duty today, having competed in this years Cyprus Cup with Belgium. The Red Flames finished fifth in the tournament, with one win, a draw and two losses.
