Bristol City Women cancel friendly against Chelsea Ladies on Sunday, August 7th.
The Vixens head coach Willie Kirk has had to postpone the Chelsea friendly due to injury concern.
"We have been carrying a few knocks over the last few weeks, and after consulting with our medical team, we have decided to not go ahead with the match," Kirk said.
"These players need to be properly rehabbed over the next few weeks to ensure that we finish the season with as strong a squad as possible.
"This would leave us with a very young and inexperienced squad going into the match and after speaking with Chelsea, both parties agree that neither club would get any real benefit from playing the match."
City Women play their next league fixture on Sunday, August 27th against Everton Ladies FC at Stoke Gifford Stadium.
The Grand Appeal is gearing up for a bumper summer of fundraising across Bristol and the South West as it marks the 25th Anniversary of the iconic dress-down event, Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day.
