Bristol City Robins Foundation Degree Students Excel

Students enrolled onto Bristol City Robins Foundation’s degree programmes exceed targets.

Congratulations to Foundation Degree students who recently received their end of year results with all students meeting or exceeding their targets. Students on our BSc Football Coaching, Development & Administration and our Community Football Coaching & Development foundation degree programme passed with fantastic results. The students have put in an incredible amount of work over the past year and the Foundation are really proud of their efforts despite some challenging circumstances.

Foundation Degree Programme Lead, Charlotte Plumb, commented: "The students on our Foundation Degree and BSc Top up Year have worked incredibly hard this year. It has been particularly challenging for this group who have been unable to access as many practical coaching opportunities as they normally would due to COVID restrictions. Despite this, the commitment shown by all of the students has been superb and it has also been really pleasing to see how students have pulled together and supported one another throughout the year, something which has been reflected in some fantastic grades across the board”

It was not only the football coaching degree students who have done incredibly well this year, but also our BA (Hons) Sports Business and Entrepreneurship degree students. Great results were seen across this programme, and students graduating with the best results since the course was founded in 2017. Some students have also graduated continuing with the businesses that they built on the programme, developing sustainable businesses to continue into the future post their graduation.

Sports Business and Entrepreneurship Programme Lead, Polly Wardle, commented: “This has been a hard year for all, yet I could not be more proud of the work ethic, dedication and resilience of these students. They have achieved amazing things in testing circumstances and I wish all the graduating students the best for the future, I am looking forward to learning about all of your future accomplishments.”

The Robins Foundation are proud to offer two unique Degree courses to further the learnings of young people: Community Football Coaching & Development and Sports Business and Entrepreneurship, both based in the inspirational setting of Ashton Gate Stadium.

There are limited spaces on both courses remaining. If you are interested in finding out more information please contact our recruitment and admissions co-ordinator sophie.hart@bcfc.co.ukfor more information.
