Bristol City Community Trust will be hosting an education open evening on Monday, December 14th in preparation for the 2016/17 academic year.
The evening starts at 7pm and will include a welcome talk from the Head of Education Pete Coleman, followed by a detailed presentation of all the courses available.
Based at the newly redeveloped Ashton Gate Stadium, the Trust provides post-16 male and female students the perfect opportunity to enrol on to one of five exciting college courses.
With BCCT achieving a 100% pass rate in previous years, and is now recognised as the number one education provider in the football league.
The Community Trust’s course content combines academic studies with a practical sporting experience and all the courses are free to enrol on to, with the exception of the Foundation Degree.
Students who complete the course have a variety of possible exit routes, with the most common being university, job opportunities within Bristol City Football Club or Bristol City Community Trust, American scholarships and apprenticeships.
The courses offered by the Community Trust are:
- Boys BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Futsal Pathway)
- Girls BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Futsal Pathway)
- Level 2 Diploma in Football Coaching in Community Settings
- Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching & Development
- BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (LTA Tennis Coaching Scholarship)
The open evening will be held in the South Stand classrooms at Ashton Gate.
