Bristol City have ended their 60-year wait for a league title following today’s goalless draw with Coventry City.
In front of a sell-out Ashton Gate, City clinched the point required to be confirmed as Sky Bet League One Champions 2014/15 with two games to spare.
It means the League One trophy will be held aloft at Ashton Gate in a fortnight’s time, when Walsall visit BS3.
But the celebrations have already begun. Fans streamed on to the pitch to celebrate with their heroes at the final whistle and the players later returned to the pitch to dance and rejoice with the fans.
It’s City’s first title since the 1954/55 Division Three South success.
Flyers TV game passes are now on sale for Tuesday night's game against Newcastle Eagles.
