Tomas Kalas is looking forward to the midweek challenge of Millwall at The Den as City go in search of continuing their good run of form (September 29th 7.45pm).
There is an element of confidence to be gained as City head to the capital off the back of five games unbeaten, while they have won each of their last three games on the road.
But Kalas is keeping a level head, telling Robins TV: “Still in this league anyone can beat anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re on a five-game unbeaten run or ten games, you can come unstuck anywhere and lose.
“We shouldn’t think about it, nobody likes to be defeated and not having that feeling for a while is quite nice, so it gives us encouragement to continue.”
The central defender also highlighted the importance of focusing on the team’s own qualities and areas of improvement, ahead of Wednesday's trip to The Den.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it like any other game. It’s another opportunity to get some points on the board and to get into the international week with as many points as possible and have the rest period.
“[We need to] stay as a unit, play to our strengths, ignore what’s going on around - the fans might be shouting at us but personally I enjoy that so bring it on! [We] just focus on what we’re doing and try to perform at our best.
“Only we know what we are best at and what we can improve, what we need to do to beat them. When you focus on yourself it is better than focusing all your energy on who you are playing against or how they play and what they do.”
The fixture is pay on the night for away supporters, with over 650 tickets currently sold.
As per EFL regulations, City’s trip to South East London will streamed live on Robins TV to both domestic and overseas subscribers.
Coverage will begin at 7.15pm, costing £10, and will consist of a multi-camera production with replays.
