Best wishes to departing Chris Brunt

Bristol City would like to wish Chris Brunt all the best after it was mutually agreed to end his contract following an injury which will rule him out for most of the remaining season.

The Northern Ireland international arrived in BS3 in September last year and made 14 appearances for the Robins before suffering a calf tear against Rotherham United in December.

City Chief Executive Mark Ashton said: “I’d like to thank Chris for his contribution since joining us. Unfortunately, the injury means he will miss the majority of the remaining season and we felt it was in both our interests to end the agreement now. Chris has been a pleasure to deal with in those discussions and we wish him all the best.”
