Tyreeq Bakinson has joined Plymouth Argyle on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 21-year-old put pen to paper on a new three year deal at Ashton Gate in May and will now look to further his development and assist the League Two outfit with their promotion push.
Head Coach Lee Johnson said: “I’m delighted for Tyreeq. I think it’s a fantastic loan move for him.
“He’s shown exemplary attitude in training and I’m really looking forward to monitoring his progress at a very good club in Plymouth Argyle, with a very good manager.”
Bakinson joined City’s development group from Luton Town on transfer deadline day in August 2017 and his debut came in the 2017/18 Carabao Cup victory over Crystal Palace.
The midfielder spent the 2018/19 season on loan at League Two play-off finalists Newport County, making 41 appearances in all competitions, and his overall success saw him presented with the club’s Young Player of the Year award.
Pat Lam was full of praise for a rocking atmosphere at Ashton Gate as Bears secured a bonus point victory.
