Tyreeq Bakinson will remain at Newport County until the end of the season.
The midfielder’s performances in the first half of the campaign have quickly led to him becoming a fans’ favourite at Rodney Parade as the central midfielder continues to shine in League Two.
Since joining the Exiles, the 20-year-old has made 19 league appearances – 27 in all competitions – and has five assists and one goal to his name.
Bakinson joined City’s development group on transfer deadline day in August 2017 from Luton Town.
