Nathan Baker reflected on a "fair result" as City and Preston shared the points in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Deepdale.
The centre-back scored his first goal as a permanent Robin, striking City's third goal in the soggy contest in the North West.
"Yes a point on the road is always good," he said, with City now unbeaten in their last eight league matches.
"You don’t want to lose a game. It was a strange game, conditions were tough and both teams were going for it, it was a bit like a basketball game, very end to end but I think it was a fair result."
On scoring the goal which would help secure another point away from home, Baker said: "Yes personally, I don’t get many do I! So, it’s always nice to get a goal but I’d happily take the three points over my goal but it wasn’t to be."
And the conditions certainly played their part on the game.
Baker added: "It [the rain] kept stopping and starting today, it was tough to adapt to but both teams handled it really well.
"Even without the conditions being 3-3 away, in the last five or ten minutes it’s about seeing the game out as best you can, or try and knick it but I think we defended well at the end and it’s a good point."
