A remarkable season of personal accolades continues for Sophie Baggaley as she is voted PFA Player of the Year by the fans.
Having already scooped up the FAWSL Players’ Player of the Year, Baggaley was also named in the PFA Team of the Year as well as recieving the PFA Player of the Month award in September and January.
The ‘keeper arrived at the club from Birmingham City in 2017 and has recently put pen to paper on a new two-year contract which will keep her at the club until the summer of 2021.
Baggaley kept eight clean sheets through 20 rounds of Women’s Super League action and the young shot-stopper is second amongst the FAWSL goalkeepers in saves made, making 91 saves this campaign.
The twenty-two year old has recently returned from tour with the Lionesses Under-23s, where they competed in the Nordic Tournament and triumphed over Norway, China and Netherlands.
