Ashton Gate Managing Director Mark Kelly said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to host the England Under-21s against Poland Under-21s.  With the four large concerts Ashton Gate will host in the summer, this fixture really reinforces Ashton Gate’s place on the map as a sporting and event destination.

“Hosting the team will be an honour and I am pleased to confirm that we will be able to give our season card holders the opportunity to purchase tickets at early bird prices. I look forward to welcoming the team to Bristol in March alongside a great home and away crowd."

Bristol City Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashton said: “We are delighted that England Under-21s are going to be playing at our home ground and it promises to be a great occasion. Ashton Gate is a fantastic stadium and we are looking forward to welcoming the players and staff to the first-class facilities that we regularly benefit from.”

England qualified for this summer’s EURO, which is hosted by Italy and San Marino, for a record seventh-consecutive time.  They will face France, Romania and Croatia in Group C.

Boothroyd said: “We’re grateful to both AFC Bournemouth, Bristol City and Ashton Gate for allowing us to play in their stadiums.  Having been in both before I know what special atmospheres they can create. We’re looking forward to showcasing some of our best young players and two good games in front of big, supportive crowds.”
