Bristol City and Bristol Bears supporters can enjoy a healthy lifestyle on matchdays at Ashton Gate, thanks to our free fruit initiative for all under 19s.
The scheme began with Bristol City and proved to be a real hit with children and their parents, since its launch at the beginning of the season.
The initiative will now see Bristol Bears fans get in on the action this year, as Ashton Gate promotes healthy living in line with the national Sugar Smart campaign, which gives children and parents the opportunity to choose a healthier option.
During Bristol City matches free fruit is available in the family area of the Lansdown Stand in the upper tier whilst rugby fans will find free fruit in the lower Lansdown Stand, next to W17.
Ashton Gate Stadium Managing Director Mark Kelly commented: “Ashton Gate sits at the heart of our community and as a socially responsible organisation we’re keen to promote a healthier lifestyle to young fans.
“We accept that a visit here is a special day out so we still offer treats but by providing free fruit, we hope we can encourage children to take the healthy option."
