A new matchday bus service for Ashton Gate has been launched for the remainder of the 2015/16 season.
The FirstBus route will connect supporters in Whitchurch, Hartcliffe, Withywood, Highridge and Bedminster Down with Ashton Gate on both Bristol City and Bristol Rugby matchdays.
Priced £2 for a single journey, or £3 for a return, the route has already proven a success on Bristol Rugby matchdays and will now begin for Bristol City home matches starting with Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship match against QPR, and continuing for every home game between now and the end of the campaign.
The route begins at Wharnecliffe Gardens in Whitchurch and drops off at the South Stand entrance to the stadium on Winterstoke Road. Return journeys set off at 5pm and 6pm.
For 3pm kick-offs there will be two buses running, one from 1pm at Wharnecliffe Gardens and the other from 2pm. For 7.45pm kick-offs, the shuttle service will run from 5.45pm and 6.45pm. Return journeys are 9.45pm and 10.45pm.
There is also a separate route running between Horfield and Ashton Gate on Bristol Rugby matchdays.
