Angry City Ready To Go Out All Guns Blazing - Abraham

Tammy Abraham wants to see City take their anger out on Fleetwood Town at Ashton Gate on Saturday (3pm).

Lee Johnson’s side are on a six-match losing run in league action, but can wipe the slate clean as they enter the Emirates FA Cup third round this weekend.

In-form striker Abraham has vowed to go out “all guns blazing” against the Trawlermen, who are unbeaten in 11 games and currently lie sixth in Sky Bet League One.

“Fleetwood must be a good side to be where they are right now, but we just have to go out all guns blazing and take our anger out on the pitch,” Abraham told Bristol City Player HD.

“We want to show everyone what we’re truly made of, that we’ve got a fantastic side and a fantastic manager.

“The fans saying positive comments on social media and it’s a massive bonus for us that they’re sticking with us. They know how good we are, we know how good we are and it’s just a matter of time before we show it.”

After scoring just once in his previous seven outings, Abraham is back in the goals with four in his last three appearances to move on to 17 for the season.

“It’s a fantastic feeling to be scoring again,” he added. “That’s what I love to do on the pitch and it gives me confidence.

“There are certain doubts in your head when you’re not scoring and the results are not coming, but you just have to get together as a team.

“Hopefully the results will start changing for us, we’ll start winning and the goals will mean more to me.”

The 19-year-old Chelsea loanee could be partnered by Bosnian international Milan Djuric, who stands at 6ft 6in tall – should City’s newest recruit receive international clearance in time to make his debut against Fleetwood.

“He’s massive! It’s a good bonus for us to have someone who is such an aerial threat,” Abraham continued.

“Although I’m tall as well, I think it helps my game. The flick-ons and the hold-up play is not really my strong point, so it will help me do the things I do well.”
