An unforgettable moment for City Academy ballboy

Ballboy Jaden Neale has spoken of the moment Lee Johnson spun him around in the aftermath of Korey Smith's late winner against Manchester United.

City Academy player Jaden, 10, was picked up by the City head coach after he ran down the touchline to celebrate the goal.

It was a touching moment at a time of sheer joy for everyone associated with Bristol City and Jaden, who has spent four years with the City Academy, has been a social media star.

Jaden said he was "shocked" that City managed to pull off another Carabao Cup upset.

And on the moment Johnson picked him upm he continued: "It was like 'I'm with Lee Johnson' and on all over social media! I've met him before, he's kind.

"Yes I was shocked that he swung me around. I thought he was just going to pick me up!"

His mum Laura Collins said she didn't know Jaden had celebrated Smith's goal with the former City player until after the game.

She said: "My phone was going crazy that Jaden was over the TV and had gone viral on the internet. It was a good moment for Jaden.

"We woke up to a phone call at 7am from his school that different newspapers and TV wanted to talk to him so we had TV and radio station at the house within half an hour. We didn't really expect it.

"Jaden's been a part of this club for a long time. He was a season ticket holder before he played in the Academy. He's City through and through, a fanatic, he watches them constantly on TV. He remembers goals from years ago, what position they went in so for him to come here, be pitch-side for Manchester United is just brilliant."
