An Evening with Tinnion and Friends

Supporters are still able to purchase their ticket for 'An Evening with Tinnion and Friends: Anfield 25 Years On'.

The event will be held on Thursday evening (January 24th) as club legends from 1994 will be returning to Ashton Gate to mark the 25th anniversary of one of the club’s greatest ever nights.

Brian Tinnion will be joined by former teammates and staff to remember the famous 1-0 FA Cup win against Liverpool in 1994.

Tinnion, now the City loans manager, scored the 67th minute winner against the Premier League giants in the Third Round replay on January 25th 1994.

It was a case of third time lucky for the Robins after the initial home tie was abandoned due to floodlight failure, with the scores tied at 1-1 in the rearranged match in BS3.

The replay saw City head to Liverpool’s ground where they pulled off the unimaginable when Tinnion met Wayne Allison’s cross with a stunning side-footed finish into the bottom corner.

Confirmed to join Tinnion in the Ashton Gate Sports Bar will be: Keith Welch, Martin Scott, Mark Shail, Rob Edwards, Tony Fawthrop and Phil Tottle.

Fans will be able to relive that special night on the big screen, with memories and stories to be shared as well as a Q&A session with those who were there.

The charity event, in a partnership between the Football Club and Bristol City Supporters Club & Trust, will be ticketed with entry set at £5. The bar will be open throughout the evening, which kicks off at 7.30pm.

All proceeds raised on the night will be donated to the Bristol City Community Trust.
