City full-back Flo Allen is eager to get back on the pitch as action resumes against Palace following a two-week break.
Bristol City Women travel to Bromley FC tomorrow evening (7:45pm KO) to take on Crystal Palace in the second round of the FA Continental Cup.
The Robins opened their FA Continental Cup campaign with a 4-0 victory over London Bees back in October, a performance City will want to replicate under the lights.
“We’re really looking forward to it. Getting back out there, under the lights and in Conti Cup action – it’s good to be back,” said Allen.
“I’ll be a tough week for us with two games back-to-back in 48 hours, but it’s an exciting challenge to have as we have had a few weeks without football.
“Hopefully we can put in a performance that we know we’re capable of and get a result to give us some momentum as we go into this run of games.
“Getting a good run of games under my belt would be fantastic and that’s what I’m working towards. Hopefully I get my opportunity this Thursday and can put my hand up for selection moving forward.
“We faced Palace in pre-season, and we know they’re a tough team to play against. They’ll be really up for the game to try and get a result, so we have to make sure we’re ready to perform on the night.”
