Bailey Wright's Australia secured a crucial away goal in the first leg of their World Cup qualifying play-off encounter with Syria.
The City skipper was suspended for today's 1-1 draw in Malaysia, where Syria play their home matches, after collecting two bookings in qualifying.
Robbie Kruse gave the Socceroos the lead just before half-time, but Omar Al Somah secured a draw for the hosts five minutes from time.
The second leg will be played in Sydney on Tuesday, October 10th, with Wright available for selection once more.
Victory over two legs would move Australia into a final qualifying showdown with the CONCACAF fourth-placed team in November.
Season Tickets for the 2022/23 campaign are selling at a record pace, with more than 9,000 supporters already committed.
