Famara Diédhiou has heaped praise on his Head Coach Lee Johnson, who has helped guide the team through a strong and challenging season.
Diédhiou has netted 13 times this season to lead the club's goalscoring charts with one game of the scheduled campaign remaining.
It's an impressive return after missing the first six games of the season and Diédhiou says the belief has come from his manager.
The striker said: “I have enjoyed this season because we have kept our play-off hopes alive. I missed the first six games but we have always wanted to do our best. I’ve enjoyed playing with all the boys, it’s been good. We have a lot of good players, the gaffer pushes us to do the best.
“He’s a good gaffer because he knows how to work with his players. He knows when to push them and is a very good manager for Bristol City."
The forward is in line to feature at the KCOM on Sunday (May 5th, 12.30pm KO) where the Robins take on Hull City.
Diédhiou struck the only goal in a 1-0 victory against the Tigers earlier in the season and he's aiming for the final three points this weekend, with those play-off hopes still going strong.
He added: “The season has been good. We want to finish no lower than eighth and with 69 points now we want to get 72.”
Tickets for City’s trip to the KCOM Stadium remain on general sale until 4pm today (May 3rd). It will be pay on the day this Sunday.
The Matthew Bromley memorial basketball games will take place from 4pm on Saturday, May 28th at the SGS College Arena.
