This innovative health and wellbeing project combines the competitive nature of football with healthy living advice to help participants improve their fitness and lose weight.
Slim2Win participants are placed into 7-a-side teams with like-minded individuals who share the same objective of losing weight and improving their general fitness. The teams then compete against one another in a competitive league.
However, there is a difference with the Slim2Win league as teams are able to score goals off of the pitch as well as on it by achieving specific weight loss targets (targets are specifically tailored to each player). These 'goals' are then converted into real on the pitch goals and counted each week in the competitive matches.
Qualified Bristol City Robins Foundation coaches provide tailored support and advice to participants to further help them achieve their fitness and weigh loss goals.
Slim2Win is targeted specifically at men over the age of 18 with an unhealthy BMI (over 27).
The sessions take place every Monday at the Imperial Sports Ground South Bristol from 6:00pm – 9pm with the first session taking place Monday, September 7th.
For further information please contact Slim2Win Lead Coach, Lee Gillett via email: email@example.com
Bristol City Robins Foundation are committed to ensuring the safety of it's participants and staff members, all projects will closely follow governmental and FA guidelines relating to COVID-19. For full risk assessments please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
