Tammy Abraham is set for a second scan on his injured thigh today.
The verdict from the scan will be key to when the striker can return to Ashton Gate from his parent club Chelsea.
Abraham sustained the injury in the first half of the 2-1 defeat at Leeds United on February 14th.
The 21-goal striker has been back with the Premier League leaders ever since to undergo treatment.
Head coach Lee Johnson said: “The scan will determine how well the healing process has gone.
“We’ll speak again to Chelsea and if we can get him back (in Bristol) then that would be great.”
City now face back-to-back home games, with Burton Albion making their first-ever visit to BS3 this Saturday (3pm), followed quickly by Norwich City three days later (Tuesday, 7.45pm).
The Grand Appeal is gearing up for a bumper summer of fundraising across Bristol and the South West as it marks the 25th Anniversary of the iconic dress-down event, Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers Day.
