Ten members of City's 1975/76 promotion-winning squad will return to Ashton Gate on Saturday.
Ray Cashley, Gerry Sweeney, Brian Drysdale, Geoff Merrick, Dave Rodgers, Trevor Tainton, Tom Ritchie, Clive Whitehead, Paul Cheesley and Donnie Gillies will be guests of the club for the Sky Bet Championship clash with Hull City on Saturday (April 21st, 3pm kick-off).
The players formed a key part of the last squad to take the club into the top division when clinching a runners-up spot in Division Two 42 years ago.
Cashley, Merrick, Ritchie and Tainton were all ever presents that season, along with the late great Gerry Gow, who sadly passed away in October 2016.
Whitehead netted the early goal for the team - managed by Alan Dicks - as City beat Portsmouth at Ashton Gate to secure promotion.
Ritchie top scored with 18 goals, while the Player of the Year honour for 1975/76 was given to the whole squad to mark their efforts.
All ten players will be visiting the Lansdown Restaurant and Heineken Lounge ahead of City's penultimate home game of the season. They will also visit the Supporters Bar above the Sports Bar & Pizzeria after the match.
Supporters can experience the Heineken Lounge for just £75+VAT per person.
The package includes:
- Arrival drink
- Two-course buffet
- Padded seating
- Access to the Heineken Lounge at half-time and full time
- Complimentary matchday programme and teamsheet
