Bristol City Women's Futsal

Bristol City Women’s Futsal Club was founded in 2014, with the majority of the squad transferring from Hartbury Women’s Futsal Club.

Head coach

Luciana De Martin-Silva has a substantial amount of experience in Futsal, both playing and coaching.

Luciana become a world champion for Brazil in 2001 at the World University Games, BUSA Champion in 2005 with University of Bath, before becoming an FA Futsal cup champion in 2010 with Sheffield.

In 2011 Luciana got her first taste of silverware whilst coaching University of Bath Women’s Football team where they won the league, finishing the season undefeated.

Another career highlight was becoming the first female coach in the Men’s National Futsal League where she took the role at Gloucester Futsal Revolution. This can be seen as a landmark for Women’s Futsal in the UK and an example to aspiring young women in the sport.

Luciana was then appointed Bristol City’s Women’s Futsal manager at the start of the 2014/15 season, signing a two-year rolling contract.

Luciana is supported by Sarah Adams, who is the assistant coach of the club.

The Bristol City Women’s Futsal team performed well over the 2014/15 season under the guidance of Luciana, winning all the tournaments they entered. The full list of results is recorded below:

Players to watch

Cristina Vega – Known as Keka, Cristina is an experienced Spanish international, who has enjoyed considerable success in both football and futsal. Keka was instrumental to the female Robins success in the 2014/15 season and will have a pivotal role to play in the upcoming season.
