Little came through the youth ranks at Wolves, where he signed professional terms in 2005. He made sporadic appearances for the Midlands club, as well as enjoying loan spells at Northampton Town, Chesterfield and Peterborough. It was with the latter that he turned his temporary spell into a permanent switch in 2010, and in his first season Posh won the League One play-off final. After making more than 170 appearances for the Cambridgeshire club, Little opted not to renew his contract this summer, instead taking up the option to join City on a free transfer.
