Bristol City claim they have not received bids for any of their players, with Nicky Maynard and Bradley Orr the subjects of heated speculation. Reports suggested the Robins had rejected a £3.75million offer from Burnley for last season's top-scorer Maynard, who has emerged as one of the most in-demand players outside the Premier League.

AFC Wimbledon have snapped up former Bristol City full-back Andre Blackman. The 19-year-old started his career with Arsenal before stints at Spurs and Portsmouth, eventually signing a two-year deal at Ashton Gate. But Blackman had his contract cancelled with the Robins, then had unsuccessful trials with Leicester City and Southend.

Bristol City boss Steve Coppell says the ProZone football analysis system will play a big part in the club's quest to win promotion to the Barclays Premier League. Former Robins manager Gary Johnson adopted ProZone as a means to monitor performance following promotion from League One in 2007. And his successor insisted the statistics-based system has a place in the modern game and is planning to utilise it in the Championship next season.
