THURSDAY'S PRESS TALK

Posted on: Thu 27 May 2010

New Bristol City boss Steve Coppell claims the club's Academy system must produce first-team players in order to justify its existence. Bristol City FC has won permission for an entrance to its planned new 30,000-seater stadium at Ashton Vale. The consent means the club has cleared another giant hurdle towards building the new £92milion stadium on greenbelt land on the edge of the city. Bristol City Council has already given its backing to the new stadium but the entrance would be over the border in North Somerset.
