Bristol City have denied a report linking 20-goal top scorer Nicky Maynard with Premier League clubs Wolves and newly-promoted West Brom. The report suggested Wolves are prepared to table a bid of £3 million for the 23-year-old striker, while West Brom are reported to have had a scout at Saturday's final home game of the season against Derby. City caretaker boss Keith Millen dismissed the rumours. He said: "It's all news to me. It would take a lot more money than that for us to even consider selling Nicky."

Ian Holloway can "hardly believe" Bristol City are the opponents for the crunch fixture which will decide whether the Seasiders make the play-offs.
Holloway was born and bred in Bristol and turned down City as a youngster to join Rovers. He had three separate spells at Rovers and spent five years as manager there too.

Bristol City caretaker boss Keith Millen has revealed that new manager Steve Coppell is already stamping his authority at Ashton Gate. Although the former Reading chief will not officially take charge of the Robins until May 11, he ordered a formation change for Saturday's 2-1 win over Derby while he was on holiday in the United States.
TEAMtalk
Bristol City are already cashing in on the Steve Coppell factor. Coppell's appointment as manager has given rise to increased optimism among supporters, who are already looking forward to next season. More than 15,000 watched Saturday's game against Derby County despite there being nothing at stake for either side. And that upsurge in interest is expected to be mirrored in season ticket sales.
