Keith Millen has set Bristol City's players a maximum points target between now and the end of the season. A healthy return of 14 points from a possible 18 during six unbeaten matches under Millen's stewardship has served to send City surging up the table. Currently ninth in the Championship, the Robins are six points behind sixth-placed Swansea with three games to play. Having seen his players achieve their initial target of securing Championship status, Millen is now challenging them to register the victory which will enable them to surpass last season's points tally of 61. Not content to stop there, the Londoner has raised the bar by calling upon his team to win the last three games and finish on 68 points, which could yet get them in the play-offs. He declared: "We don't want to sell ourselves short. You never can tell in football and, if we go on and get our maximum points total, there is a chance. That is what we have to aim for."

Caretaker boss Keith Millen claims he is 'experienced and knowledgeable enough' to become the permanent manager of Bristol City. Millen was installed in charge of first-team affairs following Gary Johnson's departure and he has helped guide the Robins into the top half of the Championship table following a six-match unbeaten run. As a result he has now admitted that he would like to be offered the Ashton Gate hot seat on a full-time basis at the end of the season. However, as chairman Steve Lansdown is set to make a decision following the conclusion of interviews, Millen also revealed he would happily stay on at the club in a coaching capacity if he did not get the top job. "We need some experience here and it will be down to the chairman to decide what position that experience fills," he said.
