Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard edged back to full fitness by netting a brace in the reserves' 3-0 win over Swansea on Tuesday afternoon. Maynard missed last weekend's goalless draw against Ipswich but showed why he is valued so highly by the Robins with two goals before half-time.

Nicky Maynard is in no doubt he is ready to face Doncaster Rovers at Ashton Gate on Saturday if called upon. League Two side Aldershot Town have extended the loan of Bristol City goalkeeper Stephen Henderson for a further month. The 21-year-old initially joined the Shots on a one-month deal at the beginning of February.
