Gary Johnson swallowed his disappointment to lavish praise on his Bristol City players after they were pegged back by Leicester. City thought they had won for the first time in six matches when David Clarkson netted in the first minute of time added on, only to be denied victory in the cruellest fashion possible. Leicester attacked straight from the restart and Lloyd Dyer took advantage of a lapse in concentration to skip through City's defence and score a dramatic equaliser less than 60 seconds later. It was the latest in a series of last-gasp goals conceded by City this season, and disappointed manager Johnson admitted it was hard to take. "I'm gutted and the lads are all gutted," said Johnson. "All I can say is that the people who turned up to watch us and support us will be just as disappointed as we are."

Bristol City suffered last-gasp heartache again as promotion-chasing Leicester spoiled the Ashton Gate party. Having waited three games to see their side score a goal, Robins fans were in seventh heaven when canny Scot David Clarkson fired them in front in the first minute of injury-time. But the home side were cruelly denied victory when the Foxes broke away to poach a dramatic equaliser less than a minute later, Lloyd Dyer taking advantage of a costly lapse in concentration to carve his way through the middle of City's defence and beat keeper Dean Gerken with a low shot which made the net bulge. It was a bitter pill to swallow for a City side which thought it had done enough to deliver a much-needed first victory in six Championship games.

Nigel Pearson said it would have been a travesty had his Leicester City side not snatched a point with a late equaliser at Bristol City last night. City looked to be heading towards defeat when David Clarkson fired the Robins in front in the first minute of added-time after a pulsating Championship contest. However, Bristol had conceded 12 goals in the final 10 minutes this season and Lloyd Dyer popped up with a superb equaliser less than 60 seconds later to force a 1-1 draw. "I thought we played well and I think it would have been a travesty had we had come away without something tonight," said Pearson. "To get a late equaliser is satisfying but, of course, it was disappointing to concede the goal as well."

Lloyd Dyer rescued a point for Leicester City with a dramatic added-time equaliser at Ashton Gate. City looked to be heading to a bitter defeat when David Clarkson fired home what seemed to be the winner in the first minute of added time. However, in a barn-storming finish, Dyer popped up with a superb finish into the bottom corner to give City a share of the spoils. City should have taken all three points as they again created some superb chances but poor finishing and bad luck seemed to deny them.

Lloyd Dyer saved a point for Leicester in an extraordinary finish - seconds after David Clarkson thought he had won it. Clarkson gave Bristol City the lead with a volley from 12 yards just as the fourth official was holding up his board to signal five minutes of stoppage time. But Gary Johnson's men have developed a nasty habit of conceding late goals - and they did it again last night. Less than 90 seconds after Clarkson's strike, Dyer pounced to level the score from inside the box.

Two goals in injury time saw Bristol City and Leicester share the spoils in an entertaining Coca-Cola Championship encounter at Ashton Gate. With the game seemingly heading for a stalemate, things burst into life in added time as David Clarkson looked to have won it for the hosts when he fired into the bottom corner in the 91st minute. But the home fans barely had time to celebrate that goal before Lloyd Dyer responded for Leicester by going up to the other end and slamming home Michael Morrison's cross.

Wrexham are currently running the rule over former Lincoln City defender Aaron Brown whose contract with the Sincil Bank club was terminated by mutual consent at the beginning of this month. The Bristol-born 29-year old played 160 games for Bristol City and made another 100 or so in total for Swindon and Lincoln, most of them at left-back. He could figure in this evening's reserve-team match against Blackpool. Wrexham manager Dean Saunders said yesterday: "Aaron is a free agent. There's a chance he could be involved in the game tomorrow if his international clearance comes through in time."
