Bristol City star Nicky Maynard will be out of action for at least two weeks. Forced to limp out of Saturday's home game against Coventry after suffering a dead leg, the 11-goal top scorer could miss as many as four games. And new signing Jamal Campbell-Ryce, injured during the warm-up at Ashton Gate on Saturday, will also be sidelined for at least the next week. All of which presents City manager Gary Johnson with an unwanted headache ahead of tonight's Championship clash at Watford.

Tom Cleverley is rated as "touch-and-go" for tonight's Championship clash between Watford and Bristol City and will have a fitness test this morning. The on-loan Manchester United midfielder is the Hornets' leading scorer this season with ten goals and scored when the two sides met in December but is still struggling to recover in time for City's trip to Vicarage Road. Cleverley suffered a heavy knock to the knee in last week's 3-0 victory over Sheffield United and was left out of the Watford squad completely against Barnsley on Saturday.

Bristol City's David Clarkson insists the equalising goal he scored against Coventry on Saturday can serve as a platform from which to launch his second coming as a Championship striker. Signed from Scottish Premier League Motherwell last summer, the Scot commenced his Bristol City career in style, marking his debut with a goal in a 2-2 draw at Preston North End on the opening day of the season. Yet, his impressive contribution in that contest and subsequent victories over Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace proved a false dawn when the Scotland international was struck down by a virus which swept through Ashton Gate in August and September.

Bristol City defender Lewin Nyatanga believes all the pressure will be on England when they meet Wales to contest a place at Euro 2012. Paired together in qualifying Group G when the draw was made in Warsaw's Palace of Culture and Science earlier this week, the two home countries will vie for domestic bragging rights in games at the Millennium Stadium and Wembley. Although Fabio Capello's England are short-priced favourites with bookmakers to top a group which also includes Bulgaria, Switzerland and Montenegro and make the finals in Poland and Ukraine, Wales international Nyatanga insists the Three Lions will not have things all their own way. He said: "Everyone will expect England to qualify, but all the pressure will be on them when they play Wales."
