Bristol City manager Gary Johnson admits Brian Wilson will not be playing again anytime soon. The Bristol City boss has been without his utility player since October after the versatile wide man suffered a broken shin bone. Initially the former Cheltenham Town man was only supposed to be sidelined for about two months. But rather than a Christmas return, Johnson is left merely to hope Wilson will be back 'before the end of the season'. "Brian is a long lost soul at the moment because of the heavy injury he has had and the big operations he has had," said the manager.

Manager Gary Johnson has slammed fans who continue to hurl abuse at Bristol City - and says he is working round the clock to improve the team. "Unfortunately, we've got some people out there that don't mind being abusive, let's say," he said.

James Wilson may still have a future at Brentford - depending on what happens in the January transfer window. The on-loan Bristol City defender has been warming the bench for the last few weeks - a far cry from his loan spell last season when the Welsh U21 star was hailed as Brentford's best defender since Michael Turner. Wilson returned to Ashton Gate this week to have an injury treated, with some speculating he might not return.
