Dele Adebola reckons Bristol City's unbeaten start to the Championship campaign proves he and his team-mates are not suffering from a Wembley hangover. Many pundits predicted a season of struggle for City following the crushing disappointment of defeat to Hull in the play-off final in May. But failure to reach the Premier League does not appear to have affected the management or playing staff and City went into this week's international break having established themselves among the early pacesetters in English football's second tier. A return of eight points from four games means the Robins are handily positioned in fourth, just two points behind leaders Wolves. And Adebola, whose goal earned his side a 1-1 draw against QPR at Ashton Gate on Saturday, believes City have what it takes to sustain another promotion push. "There's definitely no play-off hangover here," declared the 33-year-old striker. "People were saying we would find it harder in our second season and that losing in the play-offs would affect us. But that simply isn't the case."

Marvin Elliott is close to full fitness. The Robins midfielder is making a good recovery from a knee injury, which has stopped him from featuring so far this season, but a first-team return is thought to be close. City will welcome the upcoming two week international break, with the Ashton Gate treatment room full ahead of next weekend's trip to Wales to face Cardiff.

The 19-year-old has penned a three-year deal at Ashton Gate and insists he will not be out of his depth after spending three years at Blue Square Premier side Ebbsfleet.
