FRIDAY'S PRESS TALK
The last time Dele Adebola turned out at Coventry City's Ricoh Arena when Bristol City came to town he was on the wrong end of a 3-0 hiding. Now in the red and white strip of the Robins, the 6ft 3in striker is looking forward to being on the winning side tomorrow but has fond memories of his five years with the Sky Blues. He said: "I spent a good chunk of my career there and I enjoyed my time there. "Unfortunately, it was mainly fighting against relegation. "We had a couple of good seasons where we've finished higher up but a great set of lads changed nearly every year. "A new manager would come in and ship out a new set so I've seen a lot of faces and made some good friends."

Chris Coleman is expecting his toughest challenge of the season to date when pacesetting Sky Blues face Bristol City at the Ricoh Arena tomorrow. But the Coventry boss has played down suggestions that it will be a needle match if, as expected, Michael Mifsud lines up against the side he seemed certain to join two weeks ago. The collapse of the £1.5 million deal annoyed Coleman and infuriated opposite number Gary Johnson who blasted the Maltese striker's "unprofessional" behaviour. But Coleman, poised to name a same again team against the Robins because of continuing concerns about Stephen Wright's Achilles tendon, insisted: "I hope it doesn't add an edge to the game if Michael starts - it shouldn't because for me that's all done and dusted. "He will have to go into the game with a free mind and do a good job for the team like he did against Aldershot and Barnsley. "He's got nothing to prove to anybody - he's just got to concentrate on helping us to get three points."

Bristol City defender Jamie McCombe will have surgery on his fractured cheekbone on Thursday. The 25-year-old centre-back, who was stretchered off after only 13 minutes of the 1-1 draw against Derby at Ashton Gate last weekend after a clash with Claude Davis, has been waiting for the swelling to subside so he could undergo the operation. City physio Nick Dawes said: "Jamie will go in for surgery on Thursday afternoon. The scans have revealed the cheekbone is fractured in three places and he will definitely be out for up to six weeks."

Egypt international Emad Moteab has signed for Saudi League runners-up Al Ittihad following the collapse of his move to Bristol City. Last month the Robins agreed what was then a club record fee of £1.5million with Al Ahly for the striker.

Bristol City defender James Wilson would like to extend his loan spell at League Two outfit Brentford if the option becomes available. The Wales Under-19 international, who is on a month-long loan at Griffin Park with fellow City youngster Frankie Artus, has settled quickly in his new surroundings with some impressive displays at centre-back. "I am not sure if there is an option to extend the loan beyond a month, but if I am playing regularly I would be well up for staying longer," Wilson said.
