Michael McIndoe has welcomed the arrival of Gavin Williams at Ashton Gate, claiming the midfielder is one of the three best footballers he has ever played with. Bristol City manager Gary Johnson completed the signing of 27-year-old playmaker Williams from Ipswich Town last week for a fee believed to be in the region of £300,000.City winger McIndoe, 28, has first-hand knowledge of the Welshman's ability, having played alongside him at both Hereford United and Yeovil Town. And the Scotsman, who has also played for Luton Town, Doncaster Rovers, Derby County, Barnsley and Wolverhampton Wanderers, needs no convincing about how good his new team-mate is. "He's a big, big player, let me tell you," said McIndoe. "For the fee we've paid for him - which wasn't that much money - it's a fantastic buy."
